I sincerely hope heads will roll for this.

I will never not be salty about how they just copied the Master Sword's behavior for TotK. I was so certain they were gonna do something more interesting with it for this one, or at the very least turn it into a sick laser blade Master Sword. But NOPE, it's the same goddamn thing we had in BotW with the same shitty 10 minute cooldown. It frustrates me because there's some GREAT things in these two games, but there's always something else in play that counters it: The temperature system forcing you to consider your equipment or have the foresight to bring food/potions to deal with it, but that's thrown off kilter because you always just pause and swap gear out, or pause to chug potions/food items to heal. The weapon durability system can make combat more of a improvising swashbuckling brawl, but that's thrown into the trash when you can start carrying a gorillion flaming swords that you need to use because that Silver Bokoblin has like 4000hp, and the other problem is it means nothing really feels special seeing as all of your weapons and shields are so disposable.
It's cool to have a big 3D open world to explore but the absolutely scuffed climbing/gliding means you can bypass a lot of it, especially when paired with pausing the game to eat stamina items, it also stings a little that a lot of the exploration doesn't offer much in the way of incentive seeing as it just means you'll either find items to go towards expanding your inventory slots, hearts/stamina, or more disposable equipment. Though this gripe is more of a personal problem seeing as I prefer extrinsic motivation for exploring: Gimme cool items, a really good unique fight, SOMETHING to take away from exploration. Unfortunately exploring most of the time in the last two Zelda games usually just means Shrines, though there are a handful of great discoveries.
I like the idea of getting your main tools very early on to keep things really nonlinear and flexible, but the main tools usually have very little use in combat and it's kind of a bummer there's not extra optional tools to find out there in the world, you do get some upgrades for your bombs/stasis in BotW, and TotK has the wind fist scroll, though the shitty monster HP scaling means a lot of those upgrades aren't as useful as they may seem, with the exception of the stasis upgrade.
Also the linear scrolling inventory sucks, it sucked in BotW, it sucked harder in TotK, and it looks like it's somehow even worse in Echoes of Wisdom. Stop using that style of inventory Nintendo, please.
I dunno man. I kinda wish they'd go back to another traditional 2D overhead Zelda game and try to refine that formula, but in some ways I feel like Ittle Dew 2 completely beat Nintendo at their own game in that regard.
Please tell me you can eat that item.
Infinite is kinda shit. But the skyhook is cool as a concept, and one of the expansions for the game was pretty rad. I can't recall the name of it but one of the expansions lets you use a tear to summon a fully armored Samurai warrior who fucks shit up with a sword, this is awesome.
What a weird crossover, though I'm wondering if Terraria'll get some goodies to go along with this.
I love this guy's show. Studying history is fun and I'd say just looking back on the more mundane things like what people ate back then is cool as hell.

I wouldn't mind some new perks, or SOMETHING I can use my extra perk points on.I don't think DRG needs much more content at this point tbh. Hopefully we'll get a couple of decently sized maintenance updates in 2025 tho.
You know something I find especially annoying about this meme dog bullshit Musk and those cronies are wanting to push: Okay so they want to reduce spending by stripping out things they deem unnecessary. Cool.
Where's the money gonna go then? Because I highly doubt they're gonna redirect the money into anything good.
The better oven related gag is "Why do we bake cookies, but cook bacon?"
Also I love my air fryer, use mine all the damn time: Toast sandwiches, reheat pizza, cook fries nice and crisp, I'm gonna be looking into cooking steak in it in the near future, I never even thought about that until Xieneus brought it up.
Oh boy I can't wait to see what kinda shit Elon "Dark MAGA" Musk will get up to in the coming months.
So when do you think they'll start blaming Democrats for this?
Well shit.
Best thing we can hope for is an annoying four years and not a harrowing four years. We'll push through this, people. One day at a time.

The dispersion pistol is one of the more interesting starting weapons of the era. I love how it starts out as a weak pea shooter that you can rely on at the start, but as you upgrade its damage output it starts using more ammo, both slowly weaning you off from using it too much while also keeping it relevant throughout the game. Fully upgraded that thing becomes a pocket cannon, and downright ridiculous if you pair it with that funny damage booster for energy weapons.

What's stopping someone from threatening another person at home or elsewhere, and taking it a step further by threatening violence if they show any sort of odd behavior when they get to the booths?Yes it can, however it's far easier to monitor someone's voting at home than it is in a polling booth. That's 100% a difference maker between someone feeling free to vote for who they want or not.
Voter intimidation can happen with or without mail in ballots, some people are just assholes like that.
I think Nintendo in general is shifting more and more into "asshole mode" because of their success with the Switch and stuff. Humble Nintendo is best Nintendo.
Oh god fuck why did I check this thread? This is terrifying.
This shit is straight up extortion.
How the fuck did that get in there?
Christ almighty I feel bad for both of those children.

An update to this: Turns out I am stupid. Because I was using the old twitter extension, it was clashing with the skybridge thing and not getting proper access to people I follow. Disabled that and it worked as intended.
Also I caught this earlier:
I seem to be unable to use the skybridge extension on firefox to find the people I follow, I get a typerror of "t is undefined"
Maybe I'm stupid.
Oh and if you're interested in seeing Doom mod stuff, you can check out my profile here

I haven't voted since 2008. But after the shitshow we had back in 2016, I decided I'd best get off my ass and vote, filled out an absentee ballot 3 days ago when they first became available. Let's pray we don't have a repeat of what happened 8 years ago.
Haha oh boy I can't wait to go completely apeshit with Factorio again. This expansion looks sick as hell.
Edit:
Oh fuck the mech armor. I need it bad.
Didn't Gabe Newell say something to the effect of "The best way to combat piracy is to offer a service more convenient than piracy." Nintendo could do with taking notes from that rather than dripfeeding their user base a handful of games every month with spotty emulation in some cases, unless they fixed OoT on the Switch, I can't recall.
I mean sure some of these VC games they've been putting out are third party titles, but Nintendo themselves are sitting on a lot of their own games that they're just not offering us.
Christ I hope Nintendo doesn't start looking into game streaming, their internet related stuff is often absolutely horrible enough as is. Could you imagine a slow dripfeed of GC/Wii games streamed through their services? The input delay would astronomical.
Watch as this is their way to combat piracy.
Now we just need Quake in Doom, we can call it Quoom!
Maybe don't make that.
Christ, I think a lot of people need an extended vacation from the internet.

I'm sure they're hesitant to ever do another companion with personality again after the whole Fi backlash. Though I use "personality" loosely here in Fi's case. Basically I'm sure there's someone over there with a rolled up newspaper ready to smack people if they start trying to give the helper any sort of extensive dialogue.
you guys have anything you do out of habit while doing missions? My buddies and I always stop to ping maggots, one of my friends is so good at it he can do point defense or other jobs and still ping those things without a single hitch.
I love Foobar but it does leave me a little troubled that it's pretty much the only music player I can think of that has support for a MASSIVE range of vidya music. I was told DeaDBeeF has built in support, which it does. But nowhere near as extensive as FOOBAR's, and as far as I know there's no plugins.
What the fuck? There's an infinite durability book?
